Western nations view overpopulation in Africa as a threat to the planet, yet family planning currently receives less than 1% of international aid. Placing the blame for climate change on these nations, without addressing women’s reproductive rights, is hypocritical.

Gospel is one of the most popular music genres in sub-Saharan Africa. The Case for Her and Project Drawdown assembled the African Family Planning Choir, bringing voices that are otherwise unheard together, to lobby leaders to invest in women’s sexual and reproductive rights.
